Does Pinguecula Go Away Its Own

Quo vadis, free TV?

We write end of 2010. Germany, still turns the country with the largest free-TV market itself. Sky gets talked about. MTV moves to new strategies. Cable television is not interesting. The Telekom offering television and the big private search for new revenue opportunities.

But perhaps first to the HD development. There currently are the first free subscriptions for the private high-spin over. And apparently goes to the model. Amazingly, many people are interested in highly scaled programs and pay for it even though it's content completely free of charge with no further notice. And therefore also the development of the VOD offerings. Once vilified by the private sector, we have now spent over a German Hulu. All major TV deals are independent of time and mostly for free on the Internet. So why even odds, especially since the PVR is more than just everyday life. The complete Telekom aims to offer time-shifted from television. The Samstagabendausrede "But Gottschalk is" no longer counts, and even the public service have a festival with neo and realized that the youth would not necessarily see Choriphäen of entertainment and not necessarily to attract people with music and nature photography is boring. On the digital channels really innovative program is made - usually with class.

And that lack this level probably MTV. Because it is so next year no longer be on free TV. Either the task of trash TV or the forerunner of a trend. In general, the Germans are currently pay-TV over quite open minded. Sky is approaching 15 years after the black, shoot-interest channels in the pay-TV market from the ground, as it was two years ago on free TV. Most have there, however, very quickly abandoned - TechniTipp TV, XXhome animal or TV, to name just three. We surely do not internationalize it and really be willing to pay for TV ... except for the GEZ.

Speaking GEZ, the reform was decided recently. Even if it's just a bureaucratic streamlining as actually a useful innovation à la "Who wants to see it, is to 'Get Smart Card ne who, nothing." But that's only a matter of time.

And today was one study that cable television is falling. Here, just missed the price / performance trend with good pay and HDTV services. Cable operators feel to get that customers are no cash machines, but also qualify - and not just because it is typically German.

So where is the trend? the creation of RTL and Sat.1 Fake documentaries and fiction from even cheaper? all the interesting action moves to the payment sector? Will there be a two-tier distribution company, see the HartzIV because they can not afford anything else, and who can afford the good content?

One thing is certain, ARD and ZDF will survive the next generation. At the latest ZDFneo you have stopped the aging trend. Where it but with the private media, with the Internet, pay or continue to be free, turn out to have to. And will make varied.
